What To Expect
It will be HOT! We will be playing on several fields here on grounds. Be prepared for grass, field turf and Field Hockey astroturf. We suggest cleats for the grass and field turf. It is required that you wear a cross trainer/bball/tennis/turf shoe on the Field Hockey astroturf. Cleats are not allowed on this surface – nor do they work.
Check-in/Transportation
Each camper will be required to be checked-in/checked-out by an authorized individual. That individual will be asked to show valid identification and sign for the camper for both the check-in/check-out process.
If a camper is 18 they are allowed to sign themselves out and drive their own car to camp. Written notice is needed to allow for this option. All car keys will be collected at registration and returned at the end of the camp. Daily transportation is on foot or by camp shuttle. The ONLY car you may get into is that of a camp coach or athletic trainer. If you are 18 and intend to drive/check yourself in/out - please email our Director of Lacrosse Operations, Maris Large at mlarge@virginia.edu
Medical Attention
Full-time trainers are on duty to tend to minor injuries and sickness. For more serious issues, the University Hospital facilities are right around the corner.
Please be as thorough as possible when completing the registration in regards to your daughters' medical/allergy information.
